Hello everyone! My coworker lives in a country where English is the first language. So yesterday I sent him a message for a little office work and said "if you don't mind can I take your time" and he replied, "Please state your business" and I'm wondering what is the meaning behind this sentence. Can you guys clear what he was saying? Thank you.

To me, it suggests they're busy, but will spare you the time if you get to the point of your communication quickly.
