Ad popups

I have tried everything to get rid of certain ad popups.

Adaware and Skybot dont seem to get rid of them.

I have reloaded Windows twice in 24 hours and am getting the same specific ad popups immediately.

Are they possibly related to this site?

How can i get rid of them?

They advise me to go to Fix.it.com or something.

Anyone got any ideas how to get rid of them? Computer settings??

What popup is it?

Do you mean popups that appear when you browse the web?

try using firefox then,

http://www.firefox.com

lates one is www.patchupdate.info.

I only seem to get this and the fixit one

If you are running Windows XP try putting service pack 2 on if it is not already included within XP.

There were things in sp2 to stop pop ups.

Get the Google tool bar.

I have Firefox , and generally use that.

If my AOL tool bar, or application is causing the problem, can i disable it and just use Firefox instead. If so, how do I disable the AOL one.
