does anyone know why my braodband keeps disconnecting on average about every ten minutes, or is it just that talktalk is pants, which it is in my opinion, had nothing but trouble with them

My neighbour has the same trouble with them, some days can`t get connected at all. I spend more time on her computer trying to fix things than I do on my own.

talktalk is the biggest load of pants ive ever come acrosss and the "customer" service is even worse!

my sister couldn't get on line for 5 weeks and kept contacting them and they kept on saying they would sort it out, well it wasn't sorted and then to rub salt into the wounds they then took a direct debit from her bank. She has now cancelled and gone back to BT

Sorry to hear that guys, my TalkTalk has been really good. I connect through my Apple Airport and it is pulling around 6-7 mbps without dropping the connection.

However I do know a lot of people who have had nothing but trouble with them from day one, apparently they can not cope with the sudden demand that their offer has generated, I can forsee that a lot of custom will be lost through this.

Just want to add that there has been recent press saying that talk talk are stuggling to cope for some reason, cant remember what it was, with their broadband packages. I suggest you actually call them for advice.

But just in defence of them..their phone service is the best on the market though, excellent service, cheap bills and no fuss, and free calls to anyone else with talk talk.

No I am not a salesmen but honestly their phone service is good but yeah, I hear there are problems with their internet stuff.

To be honest thats why I resisted going with them when they started it. Because all new ventures go through problems early on..so I thought I would wait to see how everyone else felt about it..clearly I was right to wait.

brooklyn77 the phone service is good and its free calls 24/7 to any number that starts 01 or 02 but the customer service is the worst ive ever come across and the broadband isnt free to everyone only 70% of the country is able to have it at the moment

I found thier phone service as bad as the broadband.Sometimes my phone would ring and Id find myself in an argument with a stranger over who phoned who!
Im back with BT now.

i saw the chairman interviewed , he said they didn't expect so many people to want free broadband. Duh!
