Cant believe the cheek of some peopl. Purchased a dvd last Wednesday. Seller stated on his auction "Domestic Handling Time - Will usually dispatch within 3 working days of receiving cleared payment", therefore the latest he should have posted was yesterday. Anyway after many emails to him, he told me that the item had not yet been posted and that he would post it this thursday.
I sent him an email back advising him of his "contravention" etc etc, "no post office in the Uk is 6 days travel", "im making a complaint", "I want a refund".
Cant make a proper complain until 10 days, by which time he woulkd have posted the item. have elapsed but have emailed ebay to advise them of this knob mis-selling items. Cant believe w@@@@@s like this exist. I dont think he will repsond, he will just post my item this week. He has sold 1168 items and has a rating of 99.6%. was a ******! any one have any advice???
Sorry but you don't really have a case as he is under no obligation to post the item within 3 days and states this by adding the word 'usually'. So just wait and hope you get the item full stop after being so irate. Considering his rating I think he will post it, mind I wouldn't have bothered.
it was due to be posted normal 1st class. I will await his reponse and even if he does evntually post it, I will claim I never received. Taste of his own medicine
Although the seller has caused you inconvenience, there is nothing in your description of the events which mitigates you calling them a liar.
Prior to bidding (or even after winning, which is frankly too late), did you read the previous feedback to check the time difference between other buyers purchasing items and them leaving a comment, as a gauge to the accuracy of the "usually... within 3... days" statement?
So would that not indicate this is an unusual case of not posting within the 3 days?
Keeping a cool head will often aid the quick resolution of an issue, more so than going in guns a-blazing. I certainly do not believe that you committing criminal offences such as fraud and deception as payback for a non-criminal failure to post within 3 days serves any useful purpose.
Oh, no, I would have refunded the money and told you exactly what to do with it. And as Kempie so brilliantly explained I think I would've been justified.
