AVG Anti Virus

My subscription for norton as run out, so a friend off mine as told me to download avg anti virus. What i want to know is,

is it any good and will i have to take norton off, if i do i have been told its quite hard to take off. And its not just a case of just going into add and remove or can you let them both run

I would appreciate if anone who as done this in the past could let me know of there experience. Thanks

You should uninstall Norton first. Follow the instructions here and you won't have any problems:

I have been using AVG for at least 2 years and am very happy with it. I also use ZoneAlarm free firewall.

Yes, you must uninstall the old one completely before downloading another anti virus program, otherwise your poor computer will do some very strange things!

Avast! is considered to be one of the best of the free Anti Virus programs, updating automatically and causing no problems.

AVG is great! It's always worked well for me, and is unobtrusive and performs better than Norton.
