Bought a DVD off some bloke on Ebay about 2 months ago. He was awful. Item arrived 2 weeks late, never returned my emails etc etc.

Anyway, as the DVD was in mint condition and I at last got what I wanted I just left positive feedback saying "Item received. Thanks".

But this seller has not left me any feedback. I keep emailing him to remind him but he does not repsond. He has sold since then so is not dead or anything. Can I make a complaint to ebay? Or can I retract my feedback??

Ebay conditions state

"We only remove feedback comments if they break the rules of our feedback policy. Please review our feedback policy to see if your feedback qualifies for removal.

In most cases, feedback left for you by another eBay member cannot be removed. A belief that a comment is untrue, undeserved or left in retaliation is not one of the circumstances in which we'll remove feedback."

I think under these circumstances I would forget about the feedback. If you keep e-mailing the seller he or she might just leave you a negative.

Feedback is voluntary - it does not have to be left.

Some sellers leave feedback in batches - especially high volume sellers.

Consider yourself lucky you have not been left a negative or neutral with the comment 'Here is the feedback you have been asking for'.

Forget about it.
i would edit your feedback.

this system is flawed as i bought an item a while back that wasnt described properly in the auction text so i left him negative feedback.he then left tit-for-tat feedback for me also.which i responded to but the stoopid thing is altho you can respond once he can post again after!so he gets the final say.
complete dimwit who has since gone private with his feedback so hopefully it wont be long until he disappears up his own ****
btw this fool even started proceedings against me thru ebay to have my 100% correct feedback removed and despite me being able to provide email evidence of conversations that had gone on the tribunal basically rules in favour of whoever starts the action if neither party agrees.

a sham.

The rules have very recently changed - ebayers who keep their feedback private can no longer sell.
I object to being asked for feedback! Some people leave it, some people don't - just move on & don't worry about it! Hassling them will just make them more likely to leave a neg and no feedback is much better than that.
