There was an official handheld version of Scrabble available. It was called 'Scrabble Express'. I can't find any UK sites currently listing it for sale (not even eBay) , which suggests that it might only have been available with American spellings.
The problem of different spellings, on either side of the Atlantic, is likely to arise with any electronic version of the game. However, in response to a previous question, I did manage to find a free download, here:
