are there any broadband / landline providers who are cheaper than bt and that you can also have their landline rental and not bts. would be a great help if anyone knows, thanx

Virgin is cable and doesn't use bt landline, so no line rental to bt.

The landline rental is much the same as bt though.

pipex (bulldog) I changed to them last may and I get phone and broadband (up to 8 Mb) for just over �20 per month, was paying BT �11 and wanadoo �18 (2Mb) and I have nothing but praise from them.

pipex still uses your bt phone line though
