Need some tech help

Firstly, I want to apologise about my thread last night, had a bad day etc etc, but still not right for me to be as I was. So sorry about that.. But thanks for all who cheered me up. I also have a question I posted in tech about removing info from my google bar. OK, I looked at a (naughty) site! given to me from someone at work. It was a rubbish site anyway, but cant get rid of it when I scroll down lol. Can you help me pleese

I cant uninstall it mrknowall, as its not listed in my add/remove in control panel.

Trinny - have you an icon on your desktop called My Computer?

If so double click on it, and in Help - click on about Windows.

Can you post here which version of windows you are running please?

Hi dave, do you mean delete history in control panel? I have done that. And I dont get option to delete when I go to G on left of bar.

Trinny, type a word into your Google search box and hit Enter.

Then while the writing is still in the box, right-click it.

Do you now have an option that says 'Clear Search History' ? If so, click that.

forget the google ares doesnt have that option

techgirl, tried that, but only brings up options that you have if you want to copy and paste something, if you know what I mean.

dave, its the little google box in right of screen. It automatically brings up suggestions when you put a word in.

not just the history
the main one at the bottom
then the little one will come up tick that as well then press delete

What version of Firefox are you using?

You can find out by clicking 'Help' > 'About Mozilla Firefox'


I am using 2.0.0.3 and along with undo, cut, copy, paste, delete, select all, I have clear search history and show suggestions.

If you let me know what version you are using I can try and find out for you :-)

You can click the little tick next to 'show suggestions' if you dont want it to show any btw :-)

mine is set up like trinney we have our mane address bar and a small google on in the right corner it does not have any options

am on the same as you techgirl. But dont have those options to delete.
