Recently my computer has started saying the mouse is not recognised. I've been using the same mouse for ages and its always worked fine, then about a week ago i was using it and it just froze in the position it was at and a message came up something to the tune of 'your USB device is not recognised', I unplugged it from the USB port, waited about 10 seconds and then plugged it in again and it worked, 'bout twenty minutes later same thing again, so I did the same again and voila it worked. Since then I've done this over and over and it works for periods from about five seconds to twenty minutes until I have to unplug it again. I then thought it was probably a fault with the mouse so I swapped the mouse for another mouse, same problem... next thought was it might be a problem with the USB port so I tried it in all of the USB ports on my computer, same problem. Also it appears to be a problem only with the mouse, any other USB device I plug in to any of the USB ports works just fine. I've also been onto the USB device troubleshooter on the computer and that didn't helpeither
Any ideas on what it might be and how I might fix it?
I hope someone can help me, given the problem I am experiencing I'm sure you realise its taken considerable effort to get onto the internet and onto answerbank to ask this question!!
