Insufficient Bandwidth

My internet connections are O.K until about 7pm at night when I get the message that other Applicationns currently occupy the Bandwidth & ask me to close all other Applications then remove other USB devices. This I do and the modem adjusts sometimes but only for a short period then it all happens again! From 8 am everything is fine then it all happens again, this is every night. It only started about 3 weeks ago. Any ideas what can be causing this problem & what i can do do to rectify it?

Are you perhaps using wireless to connect your PC or laptop to the internet ?

If so maybe someone else is using your wireless connection without you knowing it.

Is it a secure wireless network ?

Thanks for suggestion, but no I dont use wireless.
