Email program

Since it now appears that Windows Mail will no longer work without altering the Registry which I do not fancy, can anyone recommend a good free Mail program to use instead? TIA

I use Thunderbird and find it very good. It is by the same people as the Firefox Browser . Download it for Free from http://www.filehippo.com/

Thanks folks. Sadly since we are on Dialup, this program takes too long to download so we are cut off before it has finished. (The 2 hour thing!).
Will have to wait until someone can get it for me to try it out.

I've used quite a few in my time, but without a doubt Thunderbird as Joe says !

Hello again Palustris. I too am on dial up and have a problem with large programmes. But When I downloaded Thunderbird from the link I Gave above it did not take that long no more than an hour. try it again at quiet times of the day . to see if that helps, do not browse whilst it is downloading . If this does not help You could consider using a download manager which splits large files into smaller pieces.:-D
