Hi
Just recently installed a "Netgear" wirelss router, so that the good lady can use her Sony Vaio while I am "on the big one".All was fine for abut a week, but yesterday and today, cannot connect to the net with the Vaio. Message says "no network detected" or " plug in a network cable". All connections are made, and my PC shows that data is being transmitted. Any ideas anybody ?? All replies gratefully received !

has the wireless card on the Sony Vaio been deactivated? I had a similar issue with my Fujitsu Siemens that has a slide switch and frequently would deactivate the wireless card much to my annoyance.
pull the power from the router for 30 seconds and then plug it back in then restart laptop.

Sorry for tech support standard answer No.1 but you'll be shocked how often it works
