avast home 4.8 problem

managed to uninstall it. but then i coulnt get onto internet explorer. when i reinstalled avast i could use internet explorer again . i want to try another antivirus programme, but it seems im stuck with this one!. does anyone know why i cant use internet explorer after uninstalling avast.

I've just switched to avast from avg 8. Which i found terrible, after using avg anti virus for years their latest version totally put me off, so i wouldn't go with that one, but thats only my opinion. as for the uninstalling i cant really help as i'm not very comp savvy.

found out how to uninstall it. luckily i have firefox as well as ie so was able to connect to internet with that , otherwise i dont know what i would have done. wanted to try kaspersky , but i needed internet explorer to download it!!
