Does anybody play takeabreak online bingo?
2 Answers
Does anyone of you play takeabreakbingo on Line? I had an interesting e-mail yesterday to which I replied I was not prepared to supply the details they ask for. Today I received a reply saying I MUST reply. They want the following details
The first e-mail read as follows
The accepted forms of ID are as follows (We require 1 of each):
 A photocopy of your passport or photo driver's license showing your
date of birth,
 A photocopy of the front of your credit/debit card used on the site;
if you have used 2 cards then we require both.
 A copy of your bank statement or utility bill showing your name and
address.
Banks regularly send letters not to part with any information as such. Why copies of credit cards, why copy of our driving licence etc? I am of a very suspicious nature and have now asked them to return any of my outstanding moneys to the card I used when I registered and cancel my membership. They mention that they "would have to suspend the account if they do not receive these details." To me this is theft if they do not return the money.
Has anybody else been asked these questions?

Report them to your local trading standards, might also be worth finding out if anyone in your local police is interested in online fraud. Don't reply to the email, but save it safely for future reference. Email the company you signed up with using the exact email address you originally used, and ask if this is from them or is a scam.
