hotmail trouble

just in the past 2 days my hotmail has been acting up--i am on winxp--broadband and iexplorer 6--i can log into hotmail and access my inbox--but cannot open my emails--the system freezes--i have to run task manager and close down explore disconnect from the net--reconnect and start again--it seems to work then--if i leave the machine for even 10 mins and try to access my mail again i get the same problem--i have run adaware,spybot and my antivirus s/w--i have also restored the system twice to 2 different earlier points but the problem remains--any suggestions would be great--thanks

I've no answer i'm afraid, but like yours, mine has been doing exactly the same thing.....it's very annoying.

AJ, are you armed? By that, I mean, is the last few letters of the URL (in the address box in IE) when you are getting the troube ARM? or armx? I get the prob loads too, I don't know if you're aware, but MS just upgraded everyone's account to 250Mb, I think either the software is glitching or, more likely, they can't handle the extra traffic. I just keep hitting 'refresh' until it does what I want. Swearing a lot seems to help also. Another problem is that it sometimes cuts off the text at the bottom of messages. There is an easy way around this. All you need to do is start by

thanks khana and slimfandango--glad i am not alone--don't seem to be "armed" as u call it slim but will keep checking--also i thought it might be to do with MS upgrading the accounts--seems to have started about that time--still maybe someone else will have a solution--meanwhile i have a gmail account and i am gonna switch to that as my main email

wow! Another one, eh? I see loads of gmailers around. I got a bit suspicious when they said they hold on to your mail forever....of course, it turns out that they 'read' your mail with a machine and then send you appropriate ads. not for me, thanks!
