unwanted messages

I've recently deleted one of My Favourites from my list. It was a discussion group for something which has now finished; I used to receive emails whenever a comment was added to the site.
I am now getting email messages under its heading from all sorts of unpleasant sites - foreign, porn, the lot - so something else seems to have taken it over. I've limited the damage by labelling them as Spam, but I'd like to get of it altogether. Any suggestions, please?

Have a look at the bottom of the e-mail, there may be an option to 'unsubscribe' to the mailing!
