BOOKMARKS have disappeared

Please can someone help. In VERY simple phraseology, please can you tell me how to resore my BOOKMARKS. I have BT Yahoo if that helps. This has happened before. When I go to my bookmarks on the top toolbar, and click, normally a long list of my favourites/bookmarks comes up. Now all there is is Add bookmark .. Edit Bookmark.. Import Bookmarks - none of which are working at all. As I said earier this has happened before - it's nothing I do - I just switch on and they're not there. Then perhaps the next time I switch on they're back. But not this time and I haven't got a clue how to fix. Please help. Thank you in advance.

see if there's anything under 'View' (perhaps under a 'toolbars' subheading or something like that)

Mine disappeared the day before yours, horseshoes, & are still missing. Have you got your bookmarks back yet?
