When I right click on the advert I get a box informing me this is Adobe Flash Player 10. How do I rid my pc of this curse. ? Any help appreciated.

If you are getting lot's of adverts popping up you are probably infected with spyware/malware, a bit of software called antimalwarebytes is the best cure for these problems about at the moment.
Just download the free version, install it, let it update when you first run it and then run a full scan with it.

It's an advertising company that has their cookie installed when you visit several different websites and then they popup the adverts (as you've found out)
I would have thought that your normal popup blockers including in IE and in your anti-virus software would have stopped them to be honest!
Anyway, you can block them, also as they are a legit advertising company you can also opt out of their service.

Hi Chuck while you are about, i have a problem with adobe 10 - I keep getting a pop up telling me my flash player needs updated, but when I try to download the update it tells me the one I am using os more up to date. I can stop the reminder coming up by not allowing the publisher in my internet options, but it still puzzles me what is actually going on. any thoughts? sorry puzzled :o)
Flash does get itself muddled sometimes, it can normally be resolved by removing the currect install and then installing it again.
the download below will remove flash

Then restart the computer and reinstall it from here.

For Firefox users ....
I have tried a few ...
Best so far .. by far ... would be "Flashblock"
You selectively ok or add sites where you want flash to be active. And you get an on/off switch on the toolbar if you want.
Apert from that, if you make/add the Hosts mod in IE, or the mod for Firefox .. you won'see ANY crap at all. I never see anything on AB pages coming up, for instance.
