can key logger spyware or viruses be evaded?
would use of microsoft on screen keyboard evade the key loggers from detecting what user name or pw is for eg?
secondly, could copying and pasting my username (nixodian) into the username field avoid detection? surely that would avoid, exactly, what i typed in right amongst the random letters i typed? for eg : "lsdfkikdfnixodianekdikesllefisdkidxoel ??"
same idea for pw field.
what are the possible methods of being infected?

Probably not. Some on screen keyboards emulate the actual keystrokes and can be recorded by keyloggers. Copy and paste won't always work either because keyloggers can record from the clipboard too.
