It would be better though to get your additional email address from a provider which is separate from your ISP. (Then you won't have to change your email address if you switch to another ISP). Most free email services only allow you send and receive mail via a website but a few also allow you use an email client (such as Outlook, Outlook Express, Windows Mail, etc) as well. The most popular choice for such a provider is GMail, but I prefer Gawab. See paragraph 3, et seq, for details of how to set up a Gawab account:

Hi Chris. I'm afraid your tinyurl lead me straight to the site with which I'm having all the present problems...and they aren't doing much to help. Your other link re an AB question seems to be compressed and I can't read it; I don't suppose it's possible to tinyurl an AB link, is it?...smile...but, as ever, Many Thanks.
No problem:

I'm kicking myself for answering your question without actually noticing who had posted it! If I had done so I would have automatically shortened the URL.

I've been advised....sorry Chris...to stick with the additional email addresses that Tiscali/Talk Talk offer, but I can't figure out how to do it, i.e. add an additional email address, even though I've been through the steps they recommend on their website, so if anyone uses Tiscali Broadband (I still call it that) and have added an additional email, other than their primary email, could they please write down the steps to do so. I have phoned Talk Talk, but they have either been of no use or have just hung up or left me on hold. I would be very grateful - and I apologise again, Chris.
