I am trying to get in touch with a friend but have their name and address only. 118118 have told me that they are ex-directory. Is there anyway I can find out what their phone number is?
Trouble is, doc, many of us don't like dealing with stuff on the phone. If I write to someone complaining or asking a question about a service, I'd like a reply in writing, or at least an email - I like something written down which I can refer back to. I put my number on a letter only if I want them to ring me, and I'm xd.
It's not fear of the call, doc, it's a pain in the butt, people ringing you up at all hours, spam calls, double glazing, when all you want is a quiet evening after work. Since I signed up with the preference service, my evenings are my own again.
Mine is in the phonebook -im with Doc -most of the 'regulars' on here know my name and where I live.My choice -nothing to hide.
Nope you wont get it.
Get the local taxi to go to their home and ask them to call you on your number.Pay them by your C/C -sorted.
