The reason I am asking, I installed Firefox a week or so ago, since then I have had all sorts of problems so I was wondering maybe a conflict of the two might have taken place,
I have done full recovery but I don't want to make the same mistake again
thanks for any advice

thank you NAZ
I have both installed with no problems, but rarely use IE.
I have to say I installed firefox when IE was already instaled on my last laptop and I ended up with all sorts of problems one of them being it changed all of my fonts for some reason, it was a right pain in the Toucas.

it was very likely another conflict but it is still a pain in the backside ;-(
The latest firefox is crashing all the time, they are aware of it and trying to sort it. I am going back to IE
IE & Firefox are web browsers and shouldn't affect any programmes in any way.

Where did you download Firefox from sounds like you have a virus, did you download from the official site and have you run scans to check.
Download firefox again to correct any conflicts; IE cant be deleted as its part of OS
