Hong Kong is in England. So is Singapore. Wait. No they're not. They're in the Far East. So why does ebay let them register as UK????
If I want to buy from the Far East, I'll search for the Far East. Are ebay happy with this or what? Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1) I don't know what the import duty slammed on it might be
2) If I pay by Paypal I don't know if I may be paying into some dodgy account
3) If I have to send it back, the postage is sometimes about 3x the cost of the item
4) If it all goes wrong and I have to sue, it's a lot easier in UK
Here's a quote from the eBay UK Announcement Board.
From June 1st, the location stated in an item listing must be the location from which an item will be shipped to the buyer. Sellers outside the UK may not misrepresent their items as being located in the UK when they are not.
This will enable UK-resident buyers to distinguish more easily between sellers who are located in the UK and those who are located overseas but listing on eBay.co.uk.
So it does appear that they are addressing the issue (pun intended).
