MMS messaging with Nokia 6170

I have downloaded settings from both the Nokia and Vodafone websites, and also tried adding settings manually, but just can not get MMS messaging to work on my 6170. Any advice gratefully received!

if you are using a old sim card from a phone without a camera you will need to call your network operator and ask them to enable your sim card hope this helps

Thanks madnbad. It's a brand new sim card, though (sorry, should have said at the start), and MMS is part of the deal. Just can't seem to get it up and running. Maybe a call to the network provider will resolve the problem, so that's worth a try. Cheers!

You need to contact your network operator, they will then send you the settings via a text/service message, you then save the settings to your phone.

I had exactly the same problem!!! The network people couldn't solve the problem but I wrote down every code they told me to type in and just played around with it myself until it worked, the ppl said the menus on my phone weren't where they should be. I understand how frustrating this is but go into every phone shop there is and get them all to try!! One's got to work!
