Opening links

When I want to view a link that another poster has submitted, some open really quickly and others takes ages.

I suppose it's to do with the size of the 'link', apart from threatening my pc is there anything I could do to speed it up or will I just have to have patience?

it's the size of the page it opening, how fast the connection is to their server, how fast the server is, how fast the DNS lookup is.....

All the above will effect how fast a link opens and all of them are beyond your control.

Grrr I thought so chuck, but as I'm a complete technophobe I seem to live in hope.
