I periodically see adverts for this in the Sunday supplements and wondered what the sound quality is like for a mini 'all in one' system? Anyone have one? Happy with it?

Not got one, but heard them in use and they are pretty amazing for the size, though obviously you're not going to get the shake things off the wall type bass from them.

They are actually crap. They have a very high level of presence in the output, so the first time you here one you think wow! But if you listen for more than a few minutes or do a direct comparison with a good quality Hi-Fi system, you'll soon realise that it's all fakery, and causes what the hi-fi mags used to call "listening fatigue" (maybe they still do).

I've experienced 'listening fatigue' on other systems which completely destroys the experience. As with all these type of things it's subjective and dependent on environment... I recently went through a similar thing when looking for some earphones...
