Renault Megane Key Fob

I purchased a spare key fob for my 2003 diesel renault megane. Is there any way I can programme it myself???. The garage want €100.00 approx and the key was over €200.00. I know some cars that programme themselves through different sequences

Can't answer but I bought a second hand scenic which had a low battery in the key. I bought on the understanding that the dealer would supply a new key, and though he bought one, he had to go to a main dealer to get it programmed for security reasons.

Thing is, it can't have been that expensive for him to do that, so something doesn't seem right here.

If you have to purchase a new key these are cheaper than main dealers.

Thanks Toureman .. you can Google but not much else.
You need the dealer break-in code .. which he might charge you nicely for.
I wouldn't trust an aftermarket key.
I have a Megane as runabout.

go to your local car accesory shop and they will do it for a third of the price of a main dealer
