ipad v ipad 2

Hi
Looking at buying an ipad. Only need for using the internet but will be used heavily for this. Am I better saving £100 and getting the original or stumping up the extra and getting version 2?
This will be used when on the move so will it make much difference whci supplier we use?
How much extra would it cost to use abroad oir is this even possible?
Assume a keyboard would be an essential for heavy use?
Thanks to anyone who replies.

Heavy use doing what? I have iPad 1 and use it for loads of emails, novel writing etcet and I use the screen keypad. Okay just reread the q and no for net use you won't need a keyboard IMO. Keep in mind that the iPad doesn't do flash, so some very few websites you won't be able to use. For the difference of 100 quid I would go for a two and get the biggest memory you can afford. Can't answer about use abroad or service providers, mine is O2 which I am happy with...all the data I can use costs 10.22 a month.
New to all this .. Well this forum. Read about Wlfgang and his iPad with O 2. I'm with O2 as well and wondered if I will get a connection to net, for emails etc, while on small ship going round Southern Ireland then round to top of North and on to Skye and lots of other little islands. The ship has Internet but noy wifi but hope someone can advise if I'll be able to use the O2 which I only subscribebto when away as obviously on wifi at home. Thanks to with lots of advice!
