I would like to replace my Video/graphics card.

My current card is GeForce2MX 400. can anyone please advice me where I should start to look and what I should look for?

visit www.belarc.com and click on free download. Download and install the free advisor software.

This will give you details of your installed hardware, visit your motherboard manufacturer's website to get the technical specs for your board, (or just look in the manual if you have it).

This will give you some idea of what your board will support.

However, it is not worth getting a good graphics card if the rest of your hardware is slow, or you don't have much ram, and a small harddrive. You may end up causing a bottleneck somewhere else.

As for makes of graphics cards, the two main players are ATI and Nvidia, it is a matter of personal choice which one you go for, and how much you can afford.
