PC Bootup problem.

Ive just tried to startup my pc... however, it doesnt get past the splash screen. the screen that allows me to get into the bios ect. and no ammount of pressin f12 will let me enter boot setup so I can boot from disk... what do I do?

Suggest you try switch it off from the mains, take the battery out of the mother board, you need to drain any power left in the mother board by pressing the 'on' button for 30 to 40 seconds, replace battery, switch on and you should be back to default.

Type Your Answer Here...is that the cr203 battery? and I read somewhere that removing the card reader does the trick. which it did but I need the extra usb slots that are with it. il try this now. thans mate

huh, whats this mean?
Means cannot find floppy disk drive. Set your bios to boot from CD first, then HDD.

Ah, that'll be why my pc doesn't have a floppy dick drive, and thats how its setup, thanks it works now :)
