Why does AB keep freezing on me

There is something about AB that my laptop doesn't like. I try and scroll up and down and sometimes it takes maybe 30 seconds for the screen to move after I have pressed the up down arrows, when I type there is a delay before the words appear on screen so I keep making errors and sometimes the whole thing just freezes completely so when I hover over a Topic title and click, nothing happens for a minute or so. If I have other web pages open it takes ages for me to switch from AB to another page. It's like its trying to do something else in the background but I have nothing else open. It's only AB this happens on, so why is that and what can I do to stop it?

Switch to FireFox, that will probably solve that issue.
