Laptop Keep Freezing?

I've just put windows 7 on my laptop and it keeps freezing, does anyone know why this is?, its a dell latitude d610, it would be a great help if anyone knew why :)

May well be your ram all systems are designed to have enough ram to accomadate the operating system ie xp windows 98 etc click on control panel and look at system information to review how much ram u have and then have a look at the system requirements for windows 7 maybe too big for your ram I had a similar problem with and old lappie I put on xp which was 98!!
