Try this one and Microsoft`s Anti-Spyware Beta.
try this free scan for sflog, this virus disables sys restore..i dont know the link but its symantec w.32 serflog removal tool 1.1.2....it free and the link is on symantec web page.....this is wat u want mercury

here is the link for the Serflog but I didn`t suggest it previously as it is a worm rather than a Trojan and it doesn`t just bypass the system restore, it totally wipes the system restore feature from the PC and disbles the use of anti-spyware programme scans which is obviously not the case with mercury`s problem.

Hi mercury try this link to Webroot. You can download Spy Sweeper there. You can either buy it or download it for a 30 day trial period. The trial version is fully functional and very good.

When you look at this link, scroll down the page until you see the heading:-

Anti-adware misses most malware.

Which is why I recommended the 2 programmes that I listed.
Microsoft`s Anti-Spyware Beta is undoubtedly the best and Spysubtract includes CWShredder and several other useful tools.
Personally, I use these plus Webroot, Spyware Doctor, Adaware and Spyware Blaster.
As regards Anti-virus, I was using Avast which I always considered to be the best free A/V programme but it missed the Serflog worm which my daughter managed to download onto one of my PCs through Messenger the very day that it was released.
I am now using McAfee`s full security suite for that.
Which all goes to show, you can`t be too careful and even the `belt and braces' approach is not 100% guaranteed.

As far as I'm aware the Microsoft Anti-Spyware Beta is good, but it doesn't scan cookies. Therefore it won't get rid of tracking cookies or other malware that hides there.

I'm hoping that the final version will solve this problem.
