Having problems with this, have loaded THREE sets of brand new batteries but after the green light shows and allows me to enter the date and time it then will show the view on the LCD screen but will not take a photo or flash and goes completely blank. Subsequent tries show low battery symbol, but the batteries are NEW and correctly installed. Any ideas?

As Ex Kodak training manager for these cameras, Iwould venture that it seems like a power issue. I would not trust the use of ordinary batteries (were they alkaline and branded or 99p shop?). You need higher powered ones. Use Digital Camera Batteries or better still, rechargeables. Very cheap now from eBay or Aldi.
