Saving Speech Files

I have some interviews on a digital recorder, which say they are saved as 'Windows Media Audio Files'.

I want to transfer them to CD so i can clea my recorder.

I use Nero Burning Software.

Do I record them onto CD as 'data' files, or as audio files?

Will they transfer as WMAF's, or do I need to conver them to MP3's?

Don't know about WMA but I use Nero Express and it copies MP3 onto disc OK by using the 'audio file' option. Why not 'suck it and see'?

I think you'll find you can choose to save them as both, and I'd recommend that... but if you encounter probelms download a free converter such as 'any video converter' and then just burn your CD or DVD.

Have you suddenly become nocturnal, Andy? Up until recently, we've hardly ever posted at the same time because you've been on AB early in the day and I've usually been around much later!

If you only want to use the CD as a way of backing up (or replacing) the storage on your PC, you need to create a 'data CD'. The 'audio CD' option is only used when creating a CD which can be used in a CD player.

Buenchico - i am usually on my PC, but writing at that time of night, rather than AB'ing which is too addictive, and stops me hitting deadlines!
