ipod

Hi,
Have been given an Ipod with no instructions. found a programme that lets me down load stuff to it without using the proper programme, so i can download radio comedies, plays etc and load them on. BUT, how can I seperate the new stuff from the old, like put it into a file other than "music", as thats where everything is, no matter what I try. every time I want something i have to scroll through hundreds of titles ( there are 700 on there, not mine, but all good)
any ideas, and is there a site where I can downlod instructions? I tried the ipod site, but my ipod was not listed. there is no model number, it seems they go by colour and design. mine is 30mb silver cased, touch sensative model.

hi annie, so you are saying you are not using itunes? I doubt anyone will be able to help unless you say what software you are using

Just out of curiosity, why don't you download iTunes... its free.

thanks for the replies, I thought I tunes was just for music. I want to download comedy programmes from radio 4 extra etc. so when I drive the three and a half hours to London each week ( to baby sit) I have something to occupy my mind so I don't get cabin fever or go stir crazy ( got stuck in a jam some months ago, five and a half hours to get home, really enjoyed that, i don't think)
Is there a spelling checker on this site? occupy does not look right!!! I will go to I tunes now and have a look. thanks again,

you can get loads of radio shows from itunes - they are called podcasts. BEWARE though - if you set up the ipod to a new itunes account, it'll wipe the stuff you have already
