Epson stylus PHOTO RX425 printer

I have the above printer,at the start of the first print-out all the necessary lights are on except the red one (the ink indicator).I know that the cartridges are ok but the printer won't start, any ideas please???? Thanks!!

I have the same model, the red ink indicator is only on when a cartridge needs changing.

The only lights that are on in standby are power and a small light on number of copies indicator and when printing power light blinks and small light on copy indicator goes out.

Does not help with your problem but have you tried clearing print jobs and powering down both computer and printer powering up and try again.

Hi there keithg,I had tried your suggestions before.In the past when a cartridge had run out I would get this trouble,but two of them were half full and the other two were a quarter full at least so I didn't think that was the problem.BUT I tried an expensive "get-out" and relaced them all and the printer worked and another BUT even after cleaning the nozzles not all the colours are coming out the picture is half correct colour and the other half is green.Thanks!!
