game will not load on xp?

Have recently bought a new computer which has xp. My daughter has a monopoly Junior game which should play on xp. When we go to play it, it says "You cannot play monopoly junior on your os microsoft windows NT workstation 5.1 service pack 2 (build 2600)" Any ideas?

Try running the program compatibility wizard, start, accessories...

make sure your trying to instal it in administrater and turn off antivirus before instaling

Maybe to do with your graphics card. See if your card meets the requirements of the game.

I had the same problem but fixed it by going to the site below

The site offers a very small file download which will put a small entry into your registry. Normally it is very unadvisable to alter your registry unless you know what you are doing however I vetted the file before applying it and all it does is tell the game that your operating system is Win 98. This goofs the game into starting without any problems.
