MM Links Game Results Sept Week 4

I can now reveal that Manx Queenie's chosen links were:

First, I would like to welcome a new player - 'straydogs' - We hope to see you again next weekend.

The game got off to a great start with Beejay1124 claiming two hits (FLIGHT DECK & GREENPEACE) in the first minute of play and for that, I declare

A minute later, Lysander matched the third link of OPEN HOUSE whilst in the meantime, Roslyn was in time for a bonus on GREENPEACE

. . . and then it went quiet - lots of guesses, but sadly not the right ones for the majority of players.
We had to wait until 11:35 when Euphemia came along as our second double-hitter claiming the final link of COUNTRY CLUB along with GREENPEACE.

Owllady has already indicated that she is away on holiday and thus excludes herself.
Of the two players in equal 2nd place, one (Beejay) has been setter twice before, most recently in March this year.
The other, Euphemia, has never set the links so I have no hesitation in inviting her to be the setter for October.

Not a point for me this month - August was clearly an aberration and I'm now back to normal!I wish I could claim that being away last week made the difference, but I have to admit that I looked at the links on Monday and wouldn't have chosen any of them....but I do love the Isle of Man, so I'll forgive Manx Queenie. Onwards and upwards....

Yes, thanks Manxiemo and Gen2. A hopeless month for me, though had I been here for w/e3, the results would surely have been quite different. The ultimate shame was to be beaten by Strix, who tries so hard to avoid scoring any points at all!
