i have been given a 25 character product key but it will not recognise the number

i may have got 2 digits wrong but so stuck and going out of my mind. is there a particular order of character and numeric characters

Matt, if you look VERY closely at my monkey picture, you can see that he's writing "willow, just click on me and I'll get me notepad out and jot down a product key for ya, love"

At least that's what I see when I look at it.
