Making a Google search while on AnswerBank.

If I happen to conduct a Goggle search, while in the process of typing an AnswerBank question or answer, I lose all what I have typed, how can I prevent this from happening?

At the moment I have to open another homepage and then use this for my Google search, and then go back to my AnswerBank page I was first using.

Not I am afraid I don't get that.
When doing my genealogy I often have 6 tabs open so as to wander between databases..............
It works for me in IE, Chrome and Opera, and I have lots of add-ons to easily see if it is available as default in Firefox too but it would be surprising if it didn't.
