Can anybody please tell me why, for no apparent reason, I now have to use shift @ to get inverted commas , whereas up until the last couple of days I have been using the normal shift ". I have had this problem before on an older computer, and it resolved itself. I am now using a MSI laptop, but I would rather not wait for a self resolution. I would appreciate any help. Thank you.
Has the brute done any 'updates' behind your back? Mine seems to have and I've lost my pound sign, now get hash and for @ it's a capital 2.
I've tried to get into keyboard settings etc but it's ignoring me.
It's a nuisance.
Chuck, thank you, I have printed off the info from your link. I checked the on screen keyboard , and it is showing the " sign where the @ should be. I then went to change the keyboard, made sure that English(UK) was selected as default for Language and Keyboard, checked OSK again, but no change. Any other ideas please?
Chuck , thanks again. I did that having installed latest important update, rebooted, same problem.
THanks everyone for your help, I will learn to live with it.
Thanks again.
