I have just bought a 4GB SD card, but when I put it in my computer it doesn't recognise it, this is the second one I have tried and still the computer fails to recognise it.

If I put a 2GB one in, that works perfectly, what could the problem be please?

What does Device Manager show?
Have a look in the Disc Management too .. to see if there is an entry against the card.
Try a reboot with it in.
Perhaps the card reader is not SDHC compatible and does not recognise High Capacity (4 GB and above) SD memory cards.
Also feasible.
Where did you buy it? there are a lot of fakes out there....
