Erratic Mouse

Recently when I switch my laptop on, my corded laser mouse behaves very erratically, the cursor darts around the screen for several minutes before it decides to settle down and work properly

Anyone any idea(s) why this might be happening?

Sounds like you may have a trojan of some sort. I would do a complte virus check!!

does the mouse have a battery in it? if so would suggest it may need changing.
