This defnatly sounds like a network problem to me. Contact orange if i were you. Could be that the network is busy.

Hi

I work for a well know telecommunications company, so I hope this helps.

Voice calls take precidence over text messages, and it can take up to 72hrs for a text to go thorugh (in extreme cases).  If the network is busy with calls, they'll go through first (hence why you should never rely on text if you have an emergency!!).  If you are losing network every now and again, it could be due to a number of things

1. poor coverage in your area,

2. network/phone issue (see if another orange phone in the same area has the same issue - if so it may be network, if not, it maybe a handset issue - you may also be asked to try and swap sims with another person to see if that affects anything)

hope this helps

If you call orange they should be able to diagnose the issue for you and sort the problem, or replace anything that needs replacing.
