My wife has a laptop that she seldom uses and since the last time I've had two changes of ISP and router for my other computer Can someone please tell me how to "tune" into my existing set up?When I've got onto the networks it recognises the laptop connection but local access only no internet.I've gone through all the diagnostics with no success. Thanks!!!!!

Be easier if you provided any details at all about the laptop and the router you're trying to connect to.

If it's windows XP chances are you've got the network key wrong, other wise it's easy to check where the problem is..... if we knew anything at all about the equipment.

Though in the spirit of providing no details....

Ping the router address
Ping a web address (such as www.google.com)
Ping the IP address the web address resolves to on another computer that is working.

Where it fails will indicate where the problem is.

"Come 'orf it Chuck" After answering all of my past inane queries don't start throwing hi-tech words like "ping" What's that?
