Wife's Laptop

Windows 7.Aspire Laptop.

Periodically throughout the day the page freezes although the pointer is still movable.

This is remedied by switching off the PC and restarting it.

Any permanent solution?

This used to happen to my son's desktop.

Eventually I decided it was getting too hot, so hoovering out the dust and ensuring better ventilation seemed to improve it.

Is she using it on soft furnishings, smothering the vents?

If your wife has time to surf the internet 'throughout the day' then she's clearly not spending enough time on her husbandly duties. It's the beginning of a slippery slope sqad: she'll be wanting her own bank account next. Nip it in the bud now and swap the laptop for a new apron and a floor mop.
