My elderly printer (HP Photosmart C6180 All-In-One printer) is taking several sheets of paper through at the same time, and it sounds as if the little wheels on the printer roller need oiling. Is there any product to do this at home please?

You could try a little WD40 on a child's paint brush for the wheels?
Also riffling the paper at both ends to make sure that the pages are separate might help.
What makes you think anything needs oiling?
No oil. Just make sure that you fan the paper a few times before putting it in the tray, or try another make of paper.

If "the little wheels sound as if they need oiling" as stated above it usually suggests they are squeaking when rotating on the spindle.
What did you think it meant, Howard?

Thanks I will try the isopropyl alcohol for the roller problem tomorrow. It seems to be scrunching up one corner of each sheet as it passes through. My first thought was that a tiny piece of paper is stuck inside, but I cannot open up the printer to get inside to look.
