Are you sure you are looking in the correct place for them....

You don't say which browser, but normally if you right click you download complete message you can select open target folder (or similar) and it will take you to where the file was downloaded...

Other than that, either search for the file name, or say which browser you use and somebody will say how to locate the download path.
Try another download, make a note of the file name, download it, if it then disappears, do a "search" to try and find the file, then find out what file its been downloaded to, you will then find the other files.

I am using Firefox, and sorry i dont know where to look for any files i might have downloaded
Click on the tools menu, select downloads, then right click on the file you've just downloaded in the list and select open containing folder.
Click on Tools > Options.

If the 'General' tab isn't already selected, click on it.

In the 'Downloads' section, you'll probably see that 'Save files to' has a dot alogside (showing that the option is selected). Alongside there you'll see the name of the folder where your downloads have been going to. It's probably simply called 'Downloads', and located within 'My Documents'. (That's the default option if you've not chosen somewhere else).

So, to find your missing downloads, open 'My Documents' and then double-click on 'Downloads'.

More importantly though, deselect 'Save files to' by clicking on the button next to 'Always ask me where to save files', and then click 'OK'

There's no conflict between Chuck's post and mine.

His answer tells you how to locate a recent download. Mine tells you how to change your browser's settings to make things more convenient in future.
go to
start- documents-downloads
It will be there- under 'downloads' as others have said.
Do you get the option of 'Save as', because you could then choose where to save it to?
>go to start- documents-downloads

In Windows 7 the downloads folder is not in the Documents folder.
